Jessie The Jeep
The Classic Car Rally held at Hartlepool's Historic Quay was very well attended by both vehicles and public, with vehicle parking spreading into the second overflow carpark. Eight of our vehicles attended, comprising of four Jeeps, two Dodges, the Staff Car and Wrecker. As can be seen from the pictures, there were clear skies, with the sun giving plently of heat, despite a small breeze from the coast. Jessie The Jeep
Cliff had a fuel problem resulting in him spending most of the afternoon under the hood of the Ward le France It was probably Carma paying him back, as earlier in the day, when Gerry had turned his back for 5 minutes, Cliff tried to sell Gerry's Jeep to anyone interested from the public!! Jessie The Jeep
Here's a few of the more 'normal' cars Steve
Joris
Looks nice! But why have the canvas on when the weather is that good?
Jessie The Jeep
Most of the Dodges in the group are loaded up with kit, so it stops it all falling out or blowing around. Plus I don't think the owners can really be bothered until we get to proper summer weather. This is England you know, in 5 minutes the weather can turn from summer to snow!!! Joris
Yeah okay, forgot about your weather Today the temperature will rise to the 30s celcius but they predicted night frost for friday :schocked: :shake:
martylee
First of all, thank you for wonderful photos. With nice surroundings as well. Second, I kinda have to agree with Joris on the tops on the Dodges. Still the Dodges look great with their tops up too! I notice that one of the jeeps have a couple of wooden crates in the back. I have plenty of space in the back of both the Dodge and the trailer, so I thought I'd make me some crates. Would it be possible to get a close up of one of these? If you have... whistlinwolf
Check out the link belowMarty, there is a load of drawings and cutting lists for crates etc on there. http://www.hardscrabblefarm.com/
Jessie The Jeep
The jeep with the crates is actually my jeep, and they contain a 12v caravan battery, a mains inverter and a CD player and two big speakers to give us 40's music where ever we go. Since the jeep is an airbase jeep ( 100th BG ), the crates are stencilled up with aircraft and engine parts. Steve
Joris
I really like the crates, they looke very well made!

Had a look and I've decided to become a carpenter! :-D At least for a little time. Let's see how many I need to fill up the back of the Dodge... ehhh... with my skills that would take me about a lifetime or two... :-o But at least I'm going to try! Looks good in your jeep Jessie. A nice way to hide some modern stuff! Marty
