pop larkin
When I reverse my Chev, it seems as though the rear axle is winding itself up. It will go back a couple of meters then it starts to wind up. You can see the prop shaft kicking back on itself and the whole axle starts to twist on the springs. At 1 point I had it skipping and was jumping the back wheels off the ground!! Then it just stops and won't go back any further, until I role it forward a bit then it will go back a bit further. I believe it has Banjo axles, but i would have to double check. Any one come across this before?
Richard Farrant
Paul, Check to see if you are in four wheel drive, if not sure, jack up one front wheel to see if it turns. Richard
R Cubed
Could be brake linings gripping on drums if there is something wrong inside, retaining springs broken or very rusty drums worth a look just to see if everything is ok and in place.
