Bedford MW wheel cylinder grease

Recommended Posts

Any recommendations on the correct grease for the rear wheel cylinder bisectors? The manual says use grease that is safe with rubber (or words to that effect).

Hi,

You may have misunderstood the manual as the bisector is normally lubricated with special expander grease, I use Lockheed Expander Grease, do not over grease. For the transverse wheel cylinder, it is Lockheed Rubber Grease as it is safe to use in the seal area. The Lockheed name is now changed to Delphi, and if you cannot get that brand there are other suppliers.

try this one;

Get it from most decent motor factors. Don't bother with the likes of motorworld or halfords, you will pay the earth! Go to one the trade use, no more than £10,00 for 500ml tin! I get it by the case.
