Vulture Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Chaps Spotted this fabulous armoured Jeep at the Ramsey 1940 weekend last month. Anyone know what they are like to drive ? I presume they are quite rare ? Kind regards to all Vulture (Currently pissed off with the wet weather that is preventing me from changing stuff on the 352) Quote
REME 245 Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 The armoured hull is very unlikely to be original so build your own. Quote
ZIL157 Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 (edited) I agree, bet yer life that this is a relatively recent mock up on a lengthened chassis. Those water outlet vents are a bit Mahindra-esque ! Nice to see something different. Edited September 17, 2013 by ZIL157 Quote
Niels v Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 I am pretty sure that Jeep is the one this forum member build http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?23988-Armourerdoug-new-member!&highlight=armoured+jeep Quote
AlienFTM Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Having driven a Makrolon-plated armoured FFR Land rover in NI, my guess is that the steering is incredibly light with all that extra weight on the back. Quote

It was built for WW2 Airsoft games so I modified it slightly from the original pics of the T25's that were built in 41/42. It was a fun projects and drives so well with the overdrive I fitted:-) Doug Quote
