rosie
Heavy winds and rain battered Rixon Towers over night. Have had some horrendous storms recently across the country here in the UK. Hope everyone here is safe and sound and not too wet. We appear to have come away unscathed but haven't ventured further then the kitchen yet! andym
I spent most of yesterday in the turret of an Abbot parked outside. I was quite surprised how bad the weather was when I came to go home! Andy

Great War truck
A great big stone wall blew over in town. I hope no one is underneath it. Lots of water on the roads. River is up by about 6 feet higher than normal and the fields are all under water. No houses flooded yet although it has been getting very close to a couple of them. Should all be fine by tomorrow (assuming it doesnt rain). Took the Jeep out for a drive/splash about. Great fun. No need to remind me to never sell it. Lauren Child
Drove through some flooding north of Milton Keynes earlier in the week. Judging by the aroma, more than just water. Thank goodness for the heavy rain as it washed the car off nicely afterwards

Enigma
I slept in a small bunker on a old fort with 10 other guys. No problems with the weather though. Still sleeping on a folded canvas boat and not be able to stretch out is a bit uncomfortable.

timbo
Our office (centre of York opposite the 'famous' Kings Arms) closed due to flooding for 2nd time in 2 months... Never seen it as bad or as frequent as it has been this year..
