Trailers and BRUIN

The Sankey Trailer has popped up in several questions over the years and here's another!

Does anyone have a list of what these trailers were used for in the BRUIN system in 1(BR) Corps from 1968 to 1985? I've seen reference to them as radio relay stations (usually called Fish Fryers), carrying a pair of C41/R222 or C50/R236 sets. Actually, I can see the reason for the C41 outfit since it's not stricly a BRUIN set and couldn't carry a full 6-channel circuit, Thus it would likely be used with liaison units at the periphery of the BRUIN system.

The C50 is less easy to explain as it would normally have come in a FV439 or a 1-Ton container body.

There are rumours of other uses within BRUIN - does anyone know?

Cheers,
