jacko2111
Just a quick hello to everyone, been interested in military vehicles since I was a kid, love the idea of owning a 'tank' of some description, although lottery win not withstanding I can't see it happening! :-( Anyway, hoping to pop along to the Armour and Embarkation do this weekend down in Dorset, any hints or tips on best place to stand and watch? Will be taking my 9 year old daughter along for a bit of Dad/Daughter time I've been spending far too much time (when I shouldn't be) looking at various tank resto's on here, all I can say is I'm in absolute awe of what people can achieve!!!! Anyway, best go and do some work, cheers Richard Jackson or Jacko to my mates! :-) Edited June 20, 2012 by jacko2111

Rick W
Welcome aboard, as you are both local to me I thought I would plug 1940's weekend at Milton Keynes Museum, September 1st and 2nd, come on down as Leslie Crowther would say,
jacko2111
Cheers Folks, spent my first thirty years growing up(Sort of) in Harborough. Love the big Scammells, remember a chap by the railway line letting me and a friend get in and look at his Scammell(Pioneer I think) when we we're about 10-11, so I think that's what's sown the seeds for old military vehicles :-). Unfortunately can't make Blaston as I've promised my 9 year old daughter we'd go Santa Pod for the drag racing(she's a bit of a tom boy) :-). Milton Keynes could be a possibility, will see nearer the time. Hopefully see you around sometime, and I'll say hello.
