Jessie The Jeep
The story first came out mid April, and since it was made public, the aircraft has slowly been damaged by locals 'exploring' and taking souvenirs. A real shame, windows smashed for a better view of the cockpit, bullet proof glass 'tested' several times, and who knows what else taken for souvenirs and scrap value. That is a shame it just goes to prove that not all publicity is good!
Lewis Garner
What a story, shame some people don't have the same sense of respect as us, let alone the enthusiasm. Let's hope the museum can get hold of it before it's vandalised even more. http://www.artificialowl.net/2009/07/abandoned-catalina-seaplane-50-years.html This may also be of interest
