jpg1982 Posted March 16, 2012 Share Posted March 16, 2012 I need to drain all the fluids down out of a 432 which we have been stripping for spares. I need to drop all of the oils out of the gearbox and engine and anywhere else that has any fluid. Does the engine pack need to be removed to do this or can it be done in situ? robin craig Posted March 16, 2012 Share Posted March 16, 2012 Jason, I am a veritable newbie with the 432 series but yes as far as I know the pack has to come out. There may be a cheat like sucking it out of the dipstick tube like in a marine setting or like in a BV 206. You can buy the vacuum jugs that work very well. sharky Posted March 16, 2012 Share Posted March 16, 2012 if you crawl under the front you will find 2 brass bungs that have a 5/8 th (i think could be 9/16) alan key socket remove them and you can acsess engine and gearbox oil oil drains and then nearer the front is either a oval plate or another bung which gives accsess to steering box oil .beware that your hull will more as likely be full of water/oil mix so keep your head out the way when you open the bungs . antifreeze can be drained via a brass tap which can be found thru front steering box hatch, down near drivers side engine mount. hydrolic fan oil is a pack out job . to be honest if you are stripping for spares remove the pack anyway to remove starter and other useful parts and then drain fluids . hope this helps Iain p.s i have assumed you have a k60 multifuel pack !!! Ive got 6 to do in total:shocked: They have been sat for sale for a long time so the boss has decided just to weigh them in. Most of the usefull stuff has already been removed. I wont lead anyone else up a dead end trail as I have passed information on for many forum members only for it not to go any further once its reached the boss! mayacally Posted March 18, 2012 Share Posted March 18, 2012 i tried to change the engine oil on mine yesterday and the sump bung isn't in line with the hull bung anyway so i'm going to have to suck the stuff out,i'd also be interested in some bits and bobs if it happens ,i used to do motox near louth.
