Enfield1940
I'd like to add one of these to my PLCE collection, but other than the one in the 'Modern British Webbing Equipment' book and one picture I've found on the web they seem to be non-existent. Were they a trials item or something?

Were they a trials item or something? I've got a few of these, in used condition......they were intended to be strapped to the side of the rucksack...... DPM version was of skeleton construction........not sure how much these were used in reality, but they were indeed issued.....

Peter4456
It certainly does - some of my best finds at W&P and Detling have been in the £1 / £3 heaps!! These include loads of brand new 58 pattern items and the occasional 44 pattern bits
Enfield1940
A follow up as I've just acquired what appears to be a DPM version of the olive pouch off of eBay. Note that it has the same NSN, but a different designation. I had no idea these even existed. Does anyone else own one / has seen one? Cheers, Mark Edited February 18, 2012 by Enfield1940

DPMRM
Came across one of these recently and added it to my kit. I never saw them when I served and can't seem to find anywhere that has them, a rare bit of kit indeed. Now to find a second one and I'll be sorted. The search continues.
