Snatch electrics

Recommended Posts

David,

There are Snatches with 1 alternator and Snatches with 2. Does it have the TUAMM brackets on the wings? If not, 1 alternator is all it needs. Mine was fitted with a standard 45ah battery which charged up after about 30 mins of running.

I thought I had photos of both types, but aparently not!

You can see the 2 types in this photo...

One has no TUAMM mounts, the other has electronic countermeasures fitted on the TUAMM mounts.

If an alternator is missing, it shouldn't be too hard to find and fit one.

Fitting an alternator should be easy if the brackets are there. The second alternator is just for the 2 batteries under the drivers seat, the rest of the vehicle will be 12v so you'll be able to get it running and driving even if the other alternator is missing.

That sounds good.. As long as I can get her running its all that matters at the min..

I won't be running any ECM so the other battery's won't be needed.. Yet :)

Thanks for you help on this, once I get it hopefully it won't take much to get it up and running
