FV1604A
Hi all, Don't know if anyone has already posted this or even seen it, but a Leyland Martian gun tractor is on offer in a classified ad in Tractor magazine for £2900 o.n.o. Described as 'a good runner with Leyland 400 diesel, it is in Yorkshire somewhere. Original RR B81 engine comes with it. Tel. 07742693117. If you save it, let us know on here. Mike. paulbrook
Ooo I took my test on one of those in the middle of Hull on a friday morning. A gentlemans truck for anyone who hasn't driven one. Synchromesh gearbox and everything. Heres the very one that got me on the HGV road... Now let me see - do I have some space in the shed???? paulbrook
And yes before any spotters point it out, that is a 10 ton GS not a gun tractor.....
marvinthemartian
It was on Ebay a while back, and attracted no interest. Me thinks probably a bit too much wanted for the old girl. Believe it is located in/near Bedale. Simon
FV1604A
Of course, you have space,Paul, park it up next to the Antar, nice pairing! Mike.
paulbrook
Dont even say that. I was a bit tempted by a knocker last week......I persuaded myself that the CALM would be handy for lifting lumps off the Antar. Luckily I gave it a miss... paulbrook
Actually come to think of it I have a little white Austin Healey parked next to the Antar - a bit like my photo above from 1977!
