BC driver Posted June 10, 2011 Share Posted June 10, 2011 Military vehicle show in Denmark JDR SHOW 2011 17 - 21 august Finderup army terrain, near Viborg (mittle of jutland) Adress: Holstebrovej 183b DK 8800 Viborg Denmark 5 days of green fun for the participants. Open to the public on the 20-21 august. -Off road driving and training sessions with army instructors. -Guided tours in the terrain -Displays, and arena driving with soft skin and armoured vehicles -Reentactors make live history WWII and Cold War scenarios -Sales stands Which vehicles are allready participating: T72, OT90, BTR, BRDM, Tatra 813, Tatra 815, Schrammel Pioneer, Centurion, Centurion ARV, M10, Universal Carrier, M41 walker bulldog, M41DK1, M578, M113, Leopard 1, Eagle 1, Diamond T, Reos, GMC's, Jeeps, Landrovers, Gel¨ndewagens and many more. We camp in a urban fighting training village Bring tent, og camp in the buildings (sleeping bag and field bed would be good to bring) Small refreshments can be purchased in "Cafe de Normandie" - participants must purchase food themselfes, but grills are available in the camp area. Participation fee is 20 euro for adults and kids over 12 years of age. You must registrer your self by email: jdrshow@hotmail.com Visitors in the weekend between 0900 and 1600 hours are free of charge, but camping is not possible. We hope to see about 200 participants, and 5000 visitors in the weekend. We hope to see some european military vehicle entusiasts in Finderup. The reason I ask is that I was in Esbjerg on business back in January, and would like to return to Denmark for a family holiday at some point. This would be a great event to visit during a holiday! Niels v Posted June 19, 2011 Share Posted June 19, 2011 Hi There is a big show each year but, But the JDR, Jyske Dragon Regiment, and GHR, Garde Hussar Regimentet, Takes turns to hold it. So the show shift each year between Jutland and Zealand. It would be very nice if any one from other countries would participate in the JDR Show, and I think that there will be plenty of beer during the evening....:cheesy: If your going to Esbjerg, and are in that area around the first weekend in august, there is some thing called åben hede, Open Plain, in Oksbøl where in the weekend some MV are showen and then the following Tuesday the 9th. there is Live firing with Tanks (Centurion, Leopard) , Motar, SPG (M109) etc. which the puplic can watch.
