I've got a modern Ring charger, 6/12 volt that pulses. Trouble is it is **** usless unless the battery is perfect! All my older batteries charge on a donkey years old charger that dosen't pulse. What I was wondering with the cost of battries, is it worth investing in a specific de sulphider?

I've used Granville Batt Aid tablets and although I can't say whether they work or not due to the fact I've added them to batteries that are in good condition, they seem to.

The battery in my Defender is 10 years old, a Lucas. I added two tablets per cell about 6 years ago and again recently and the battery is still going strong. When you look at the plates with a torch there doesn't seem to be any firing up of any kind.
