M.Rimmer
The Centre for Battlefield Archaeology are reporting on their facebook page the sad news that Professor Richard Holmes has passed away. I am sure many on here will have read his books or watched his series War Walks on TV. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13251220 Edited May 1, 2011 by M.Rimmer Add BBC link. rosie
I saw an advert this morning with him in and was just saying to R cubed what an interesting bloke he was. Sad news :-(
woa2
I saw him at a Book Signing event in Reading about 10 years ago. He was taking questions from the floor after his talk and was answering very obscure questions about WW1 and his knowledge and presentation were perfect. A very sad loss to Military History.
