Chevy CMP Temp Gauge

Hi

Whilst swapping over our 216 chevy (GMC casting mark on it) engine that was roasted and buckled I have noticed the Temp Gauge is stuck at 70 and no movement despite applying heat/cold. Does anybody know where we might get one or what a similar type we might use (GMC etc) Size approx 60mm Dia made by VDO

That should be a standard 2" military gauge, and the repro jeep / Dodge gauge from any dealer should fit the dash. Most of those repros come with a cylinder head adapter which may well be a straight fit into the head.

All my Dodge stuff is the earlier civilian pattern.
