What should I do with these?

Essex5

Question

Without wishing to invite rude answers, any thoughts on a sensible use for these drum ends, apart from hanging them on the workshop wall?

In fact, they have been hanging on my neighbour's workshop wall for many years - he found them during a Land Rover tour of Norway in the 70's, and couldn't resist collecting them. The drums had been used to pipe under a ditch crossing, the ends appear to have been chopped out with a pick-axe.

He is now retiring and clearing out the workshop, I rescued these from the skip!

Oh, your so lucky to own these.

Put them in the garage.

Mount them & put them on the wall in your house.

Please, please don't donate them to a museum.

A few years down the line they'll skip them or sell them off.

If you don't want them give them to me or maybe donate to one of the large re enactment groups.

Giving them to a re-enactment group sounds like a good idea.

I don't actually want them hanging on my wall, but it seemed a shame to just let them be scrapped.:-(

I rescued a 1943 British jerry can for the same reason - apparently it leaks, but would be fine for window-dressing.

Any more ideas?

John
