Read an interesting story on internet that said back in 91 the mod bought back some tracked rapiers from private collectors for Gulf use. does anyone know if there was any truth in the story . bjbsophey Posted September 26, 2010 Share Posted September 26, 2010 I went up to 22 ad prior ( dortmund) to the gulf war and some of the chassis were completley stripped ,same chassis as lance, m113 me thinks, as for buying civy stuff back , they might of done , i knew some of the crews ,and the problem with tracked rapier was getting the kit calibrated and working after movements on excercise . never understood why Bae kit had yank running gear.
