That's the one, I always thought dragon would have been a more suitable name. :-D

Incidentally I've just remembered the author's name, Wilson and I think the christian name is Andrew.

Andrew Wilson used the flame tank in 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch) in the Netherlands.

I live nearby that town.

Strange you should mention that town, although I have never visited The Netherlands

that name has fascinated me for nearly 60 years and I hope that one day soon I can pay the town a visit.

You've probably already read the After the Battle on 's Hertogenbosch? Otherwise I can scan it for you.

Ooh might get that one :-)

A nice chap nearby bought and restored a crocodile many years ago.

I helped him strip paint off it one summer when i was at school

I always liked the Crocodile it got me bitten by the 'I'm gonna have one of those one day' thing... haven't got a churchill ... yet :-D

Here a few of the soldiers who fought in Den Bosch.

We know them personally because we attend the commemorations with them.

We even accompany them to the Cemetary to pay respect to the fallen.

Mr. Davies

Welch Regiment.

Mr. Atkinson

I call him and his wife granddad and grandma.

In the book about the Battle of Den Bosch we found a photo (oct 1944) where we recognised Mr. Atkinson, he hasn't changed much!

East Lancashire (first in the city)
