Me and a group of other enthusiasts have set up our own little reenacting group, mainly we want to go around schools showing the kids various items etc.

Most schools during the year have a 40s day and study WW2 as part of there curriculum as i own a military shop i have been asked many times to turn up to speak to the children, its been very succesful so far and the kids love it.

You are right abn deuce, for a long time now schools have done very little regarding teaching about WW1 and WW2, however, through pressure from the right people and groups like my little one writing to them and explaining that we will go along at no cost and show the children various vehicles and items relating to the conflict, they have started to have a 40s day and spend time learning about it.

We also go just before Remembrance Day, to kick start the poppy appeal and raise awareness for those that have fought and are still fighting. The kids love it:-D

Kind regards
