90th Anniversary of the battle of the Somme

Today attended the above function....not many vehicles as such :-( but what an interesting day. Up on the old earth works known as Old Sarum, the Great War Society had a British WW1 encampment, a German bunker and section of trench, a display of vickers M.G. section and a promise of a ariel dogfight too good to miss i thought.

Went to a WW1 event a few months ago near Paschendale, 150 re-enactors and me as the only one in a original WW1 uniform and gear (US).

We got a movie shown with a real live orchestra playing music, very cool!!

the aerial display was a first for me (did not know they existed)

Great War Aeronautical society. Well worth seeing more of.
