question Help with maintenance of Fox or Ferret (North London)

I am just starting out in the MV world and would like to start by buying a Fox or Ferret.

 

I live in North London (N1) and don’t have access to a workshop so was wondering if there are any people in London that can help with regular maintenance to keep me on the road? I would consider any arrangement that works such as paying for your time or use of the Fox/Ferret.

 

Anyway I hope there is a local enthusiast around otherwise I will just have to wait.

If you have no workshop facilities.Then at best stick with a Ferret.A fox is more involved,and parts are scarce.

hi ben, i certainly agree, the ferret is more wide-spread in the hobby, its comparitively cheap to buy, spares are easy to find. working on the ferret is reasonably easy and there are loads of enthusiasts on this forum who are a wealth of expererience and info on the vehicle. I think this hobby is for people who have a reasonable mechanical knowledge and are willing to get stuck in. most post war vehicles are good honest nut and bolt engineering. there are dealers and guys in the hobby who would do repairs and maintenance for you but they are very often booked up well ahead. you have got an enthusiasts group in your area called the north london barmy army, it may be worth looking them up
