The Bedford Boys Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Hi again guys. I've got another problem with the Bedford MW. She is hitting a flat spot in top speed when changing from 3rd into 4th. The truck will not gain any speed when changed into 4th. What's the story?? Quote
The Bedford Boys Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 Sorted now. Cleaned out carb and made new gaskets for it. Twisted the dizzy round a bit and now it runs quite nicely. Got up to 40mph on a short bit of curved road so I'm pleased. Quote

The Bedford Boys Posted April 1, 2010 Author Posted April 1, 2010 Nope it was on a flat road. She prefers sitting at 35mph though. Quote
Big ray Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Nope it was on a flat road. She prefers sitting at 35mph though. We sometimes forget, when these trucks were made we only had those narrow windy roads, and the speed limit for anything over 3 tonnes unladen was 20mph............ so at 35mph you are travelling quite fast, my Jimmy is the same, very happy at 35mph, any more and she rattles along shaking all of the bolts loose.... so I dont think that I will be overtaking you anytime soon...........:kissoncheek: Quote
