Due to problems with Glacier Gal they had to abort over the North Atlantic. Something went wrong... Not sure just how much of it is original after the rebuild . I think the original owner died just as it was under going its first flight tests ? Jessie The Jeep Posted March 4, 2010 Share Posted March 4, 2010 I've got the book about the recovery and rebuild and seem to recall they used quite a bit of original material, including some skins. The book makes interesting and at times alarming reading, but with all the in-fighting, it's amazing they even got the aircraft to the surface of the ice. Health and Safety seemed to be somewhat lacking, and I'm not talking about following regulations, but simple common sense was abandoned.
