abn deuce
Supertrack it is Great to HEAR the progress you have made ! Nice to have a little test to check things before you have gotten too far with a project . The engine sounds beautiful with no smoking or odd noises. Grasshopper
Mr Beke snr had sold a lot of scrap WW2 half tracks back to the Americans for refurbishment and use in Vietnam (we were shown the pictures).
N.O.S.
And in case you ever wondered how / who cleaned up the D Day beaches, Mr. Beke Snr started his WW2 mv spares/repair/sales business by being awarded a contract to clear a (1 1/2 mile?) section of Normandy beach of all scrap. He was fortunate to have many vehicles in his allocated section :-D
supertrack
The restoration of the front winch was not complicated. It took just a good cleaning and lubrication of different parts.

N.O.S.
Supertrack - I found a new boite de direction at Beke. Always good to have spares 'on the shelf' :-) We should have taken more parts, like fuel tanks, but we ran out of space on the truck :-( Looks like you had a good shop!
