shatters
I know I'm being a bit thick here (my brain doesn't work in the cold) but I'm after a matching Sankey trailer to pull behind me 1981 series 3 lightweight landrover. Does it have to be narrow track or would a wide track be historically accurate ? Many thanks Phil
0 sirhc
Wide Tracks date from the 70s so you'd be fine with one. A Mk 2 Widetrack with jockey wheel and drop down tailgate is much more useful than a narrow track.
0 barrynevuk
This is quite right. Many of the earlier widetracks did not have jockey wheels, but an adjustable leg with a flat plate at the base. This was usually mounted on the rear of the A frame cross bar. Many were retrofitted later with a jockey wheel. The later mk111 type with the folding jockey wheel and disc brakes would be too late though really to be correct.
