Been having a tidy up and unearthed an old military style package with what looks like some brand new piston rings (3 or4) wrapped in grease proof paper. Thats great, no idea what they are for though...there are however some numbers on the box:
470 - 710251
LW 3/115
Havent put a picture up as I think we can all visualise a piston ring...
Anyone know its application, probably someone with the equivalent of the enigma code breaker but for piston rings! Assuming its no good for either a gardner 6lw or 7.7AEC, and assuming we find out what its for then I would be glad to hear from anyone that wants them (actually even if we dont find out I would still be glad to hear if someone fancies some alternative christmas tree decorations)!!!
