Morning folks, maybe a silly question, but what would make up a typical MT section on a RAF station in the 1950s? i.e. cars, vans trucks etc TTFN Mark PS, if anybody has got a ex RAF Staff car going cheap, might have to sell the 90 and thought of something dual purpose (car for shows and work!)
  5. Do we know what the criteria will be regarding vehicles etc? Wil it be limited to WW11 or, as it should be if a MVT area is running it, open to all? Mark
  6. here are a few piccys of mine, interesting that the 1952 and 1956 dated are different colours. As I cant get a 1980s "shirt itchy" to fit me would I be right in thinking that a replica from WPG (late WW11 type) be ok? Mark

Speaking of people in uniform, spotted 1 East German, several WW11 (including a short German Officer,and 2 women in Black uniform,) Yanks (including Vietnam) and a few in DPM including 1 chap with RAF beret that looked like a soup plate, and had the ribbons untied and dangling down, was itching to "tear him off a strip"..Some nice Victorian reenactors too! I know what you mean Tony, the usual question is "why are you not going onto my estate, I have got to get home!!!" or "why are you late?" never mind that they are standing at a stop with the traffic hardly moving in front of them. Best one I had was last year, heavy snowfall during day, got to travel private from one end of Stoke on Trent to the other to do a school run, (usually took me 15 mins with no traffic, took me nearly 1 hour) get to the school, Headmaster standing behind a huge pile of snow with a umbrella and his question was "why are you late?"!!!!!!!!!   17. Rare beast, Reichlin R1, the Japanese used a similar version called Ohka (Cherry Bomb), several are preserved in Britain, (RAF Cosford and Manchester Museum of Science and Industry) Ohka powered by 4 rocket motors, R1 by pulse jet. Mark
