  14. Morning all, just a quick question, were WC52/53 Dodges ever issued to British units during WW11? I know they were supplied to Russia. Simillary, apart from Dizzy T, Sherman etc, were any other US vehicles? (not canadian) I await the combined wisdom to dazzle with your knowledge!! :-D Mark :
  15. Went to the show today, my heart goes out to the organisers, apparently they had a bad night weather wise, so a few traders moved into the big marquee, only for the said marquee to blow down in the wind. Ambulances arrived, followed by 2 fire eingines and then 2 police cars, one thing I couldnt understand as to why people where photographing/videoing the collapsed tent?! Call me oldfashioned, but surely that shouldnt be done? I will photograph Police Cars, and Fire Engines, but draw the line at Ambulances when they are at a scene. Anyway, rant over, photos can be found on my site :- http://marksmiltaryvehicles.fotopic.net/ Enjoy Mark
  16. was that GS67? saw a photo of it in LT red, very nice!!! My dads was GS36, now down south Mark
  17. My dad had a 1953 London Transport Guy single deck bus, delivered to LT's country area. We used to have a Green Line Destination Blind in it, so at one show a Know it all type spoke, "you shouldnt have that destination showing, they never ran in Green Line service!!!" so apart from muttering to myself, I asked him to accompany me to the side of the bus and I showed him a London Bus Magazine dated 1968 showing my dads bus on GreenLine Service!!!!!! off walked the know it all muttering to himself!!!!!! Mark
  18. thats true, mind you, according to Agent K, "Elvis didnt die, he just went home!!" :cool2: Mark

  20. its apity that place had to shut down, didnt I read somewhere that a wealthy enthusiast had something to dowith buying some (all?) exhibits? I know some of the railway locos are on loan to a couple of preserved railways, but does anybody know what happened to the west german railway coach that used to be outside? My last visit was to a antique fair held there, was very upset at the state of the exhibits. Mark
  21. remembered another one, when I had the ex USAF Police chevy, I used to cover up the front number plate with replica USAF plate with its original number on, many a time I have seen people say, "its not a real american car, its got a British number plate behind this one!!!" :argh: Mark
