  4. I've got pretty much the same lamp + clamp , but with a much longer cable , guess it 'll fit the barrel of a tank on a Rogers trailer behind a Diamond truck
  5. Amazing it sure is , just covered up by some grass and earth , about 1 inch deep It's hard to believe these things are still to be discovered , as there are quite some places around here where heavy action took place I'll post my question on the Maple Leaf Up forum as well
  6. Prospecting a former battlefield in our neighborhood , we found some remains of the fighting that took place in september '44 some rounds .303 and 9 mm , 2" mortar tails , remains of a German gas mask , and one insign , that looks like 2 Canadian leaves . All of it having been discovered on a steep river bank , where acces isn't very easy , I assume it must have been lost at combat activities, some pictures to identifie; no markings were found on this object
  7. Some nice parts could be brought home from Ghent militaria fair , all of them 25 Pr related , such as ; -unfired HE round , original condition with fuze (empty) -one nice cartridge , 1942 stamps -several charge bags , different sizes and colours -training device charges ( leather bags with weight indications-different colours) besides that I also found a nice metal box , Canadian marked , 1945 , for 20 mm Hispano rounds, packed in carton tubes, original paint and markings, happy ending for the week end
  8. Ghent militaria fair today , found some very nice items , which I found difficult to resist at , some books , about the German 88 , German occupation in Belgium, and a German photobook , original prints of 1941 by the "PK" or Propaganda Kompany , swhowing the "Victorious campaign of Van Kleist as part of the Blitzkrieg against Belgium , Luxembourg and France

  10. Hi iolo777 , I'm restoring a Dodge WC 63 as well , We've bought canvas at John and Mary Worthing , very good quality , reasonable prices, Best regards,
  11. I 've got several of them , coming from Belgian an army stock , so definetely Belgian nets
  12. Hi Rob , affirmative for the muzzle brake , but no riveted cradle , all of the recuperators have been machined in one solid piece of cast steel.Mike (Peacock -The Garison) told me this is a rare type of cradle , as most of what we've seen through the years are riveted ones. I think the date on the gun barrel says 1942, will check that out tomorrow. Thanks so far for this (valuable) information.:-)
  13. same experience , no reply on e mail , instant succes by phone , don't hesitate , parts are good quality , prices ok , and a very nice guy to deal with !!:-)
