  4. Well , if you're coming over to BW&T 2008 , we 'll meet there , I'm member of the 25Pr reenactment team , the WW 2 section of "Badger" , and will be present during the complete event , except on friday afternoon , then we'll do a historic battlefield tour in the neighborhood So if you wanna join , you're welcome !!!
  5. That's very kind of You , but can you tell me how much it's gonna cost , because I'm only helping a friend with this , and I 'll rather have no nasty surprise , my vehicles are all WW 2 period. It's a pitty , because several members of our group (Badger vzw ) were at Bunker Bash last week-end , could have made an arangement :yay:
  6. the bottom as it is now , picture of the set ready for action
  7. We're working on GMC trailer , with a Maxson AA tower in it , The (double) bottom is pretty worn out , only option is to change it on both sides , Was the bottom plate straight sheet metall , or was it profiled , like a Jeep tailer , who knows more about it , or has a genuine trailer as an exemple ?
  8. Hi Neil , Thanks for your offer , fact is , parts are for a friend of mine , and we're located on the other side of the North Sea , Belgium. The owner first wanna give it a try ,by replacing the 3 worst caliper seals ,(3 wheels get hot , brake cilinders do not retain ), If possible , would you sent them to me by "Parcel service" ?, I've got several friends in Britain , paying facilities is no problem , can pay in € or £ , what you wish , So long , Philip
  9. I recently saved an old -wartime- generator from the scrap yard , It does need some refurbishing , but the unit looks lovely original , no modifications made on it at all . It has a Ford 4 cilinder petrol engine on it , made on an undercarriage of "SHEFFIELD STEEL COMPANY" , all switches ,sockets ,instruments are present as are the "RAF" id plates. As we do live near to 2 former airfields , Ursel and Maldegem , both used by RAF and RCAF , it seems logic to me that the generator saw active service over here during the wartime period , and perhaps more years after the war. It's amazing , what items there still can be discovered , only by coincidence, the owner knew about my intrest for "military junk" (his words !!) , otherwise it would have been recycled , and I just couldn't let it happen to this nice piece of history.
  10. THANKS FOLKS , If anyone knows more about the seals , I'd be very gratefull to hear from you .
  11. anyone knowing what the floor looked like on a M 17 trailer , equipped with a Maxson anti aircraft tower , with 4 .50 cal heavy machineguns ? Was it straight sheet metal , or ribbed as the jeep trailer floor ? Ours is very rusty , and it looks like it has been changed allready . Any help very welcome .
