  1. wot o jack, way back in may 1942 opposite my grandads farm is a 60 acre wood where a regiment of canadians were camped they were always on the scrounge for extra food, one day they came round with a lorry and in the back was a brand new WLA still in its crate wrapped in wax paper and another crate of spares the sargeant said would keep it going into the next century for this they only wanted 3 chickens, 2 dozen eggs some veg a bag of spuds and 50 quid needless to say my gradfather did t take up the offer :cry: and im not riding around on a WLA (hindsight what a wonderful thing ) regards graham
  2. richard, thank you for pic of trailer, is the bogie on front just for towing behind pioneer ? to tow that behind a k6 would be i think very slow :sweat: and painful up any hills please keep photos coming :yay: thanks graham

  8. wot o clive, is there any chance you could find out where the girls got their uniforms as my wife is thinking of dressing up as WLA as her late fathers bedford oy has a WLA and forestry body on it, so when she drives it she will look the part regards graham
  9. i will be there from tues for the whole week, wife decided to go to GDSF instead of abroad, i naturally did not complain, 1st time there renting a caravan from tilshead will our illustrious leader be there with a drop in centre (tent) :coffee: graham

  12. wot o davie, ive been running my austin k6 and hotchkiss jeep on the old straight 20-50 it keeps the oil pressure up on a hot day, a mechanic friend of mine has been running his gmc on it for about 10 years and no problems. perhaps some one could enlighten me as to wether this is ok please regards graham

  23. ive got one daughter, a dog called colin, 5 tractors and associated farming relics, i like rough shooting and a good pint of bitter, any other spare time you ll find me asleep :cool2: regards graham
