  1. Not sure about the one on the left either, no sun shield, looks more like summat American to me.. Andy this proves it, you're the Master:bow::bow::bow::bow::bow::bow::bow:ter....... Quite Right John, we need a location, maybe somewhere antipodean at a guess?
  2. Scammell Explorer.... hmmm, well you got the :nut::nut::nut::nut::nut::nut::nut::nut::nut::nut::nut::nut::nut::nut::nut::nut: bit right! Nothings gonna stand in your way now!
  3. On an iphone the location isn't stored unless location services for the camera is switched on, and the phone can see enough satellites, other makes may be different. I'll only be posting pics of my Pit Bulls from now on!
  4. Not an expert, but had some dealings with them due to a bent one on a 110 Pinkie, the swivel housings and CV joints differed from the Salisbury norm, seem to remember ball joints and a few other things where not the same as most other MOD spares we could locate for those axles, and definitely not the same as LR axles. Google image search throws up some with what looks like normal LR steering ball joints, but most have the tie rod missing, worth having a look if you haven't already.
  5. We need to know what the axle came off, lots of variables on those things, specially the military ones...
  6. It shouldn't even be registered as a 'Mobile Home' in that configuration, you've got bit of a minefield on your hands there!
  7. Diana, I think Neil has hit the nail on the head here, you haven't been refused insurance by an insurance company or underwriter (which is usually done because of bad driving/claims record or non disclosure of previous convictions etc.) but merely not met the random requirements of a broker, who rightly or wrongly thinks you don't meet their 'specialist' requirements. Maybe speak to the owner/someone at the top and try to pin down what exactly is the problem, even if you get a ridiculous quote that makes you feel better than refusal. They work in mysterious ways sometimes, one broker really really wanted to insure Rugged Robin so he could use it in their advertizing as an example of how they could insure any vehicle, but he was unable to come anywhere hear the quote I already had from another broker, so I didn't go with him.
  8. I'm pleased to know that, I thought maybe you liked to keep to old ways if possible and had a trick up your sleeve..
  9. What! Bodging just to get rid of it out of the garage eh? Blimey that's a first! :rotfl: Excellent stuff....that would have been long squeezy push in the dash button then, the how did your thumb feel in the morning?
  10. Nice job, what tool are you using to turn the EN8, HSS or inserts?
  11. As we have so many new members with a mechanical aptitude now, I though it might be a good idea to bump this thread..
  12. Got to have to rethink that Rosie, the Stolly lake is in full flood right now and already lapping at the front doorstep... No problem we've moved all existing stock (yes you did leave half a bottle) upstairs..
  13. I'm back to using Avast free version now after a brief sortie into free MS security essentials last year, which let a virus and some other stuff in, resulting in me having to reinstall windows then reinstall all my usual programs...:computerrage: I did have a complete backup of everything else  I'd never had any problems at all using Avast free for many years before that so I'm sticking with it now..
  14. Lets hope the weather changes soon Degsy, and be careful out there..
  15. Well Clive said it was easy, Alec was the only one who didn't over think it!
  16. Some sort of lining up device for when launching DD tanks?
  17. Rugged Robin has full penetration corrosion of the head, block and inlet ports, one application of K Seal is still holding into the third year, use it with confidence!
  18. Yes that media scale is rather annoying isn't it.... So broken lines usually denote some thing hidden or below the level of the continuous lines, dare I suggest a marine or submarine object?
  19. Some sort of scale would be useful, would it fit in a matchbox or a football HMVF tank playing field?
  20. Sometimes sorry just isn't enough Clive..........did make me grin though :D
  21. Brilliant picture! Could the artificial leg in fact be a pair of these or similar? The position of his foot looks normal and the other leg seems a little smooth and shiny too..
