    Here are some more from my collection (not for reproduction); alas, I don't know the location of any of these views. The YMCA kitchen is from Motor Traction 24 March 1915.

    Here's a typical example: http://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/205315900 You can identify them by the pointed brass radiator and the horizontal handle on the bonnet sides.

    Not quite. The rebuild is of B2737 (LH 8186) - a genuine B type chassis that, so I understand, went to the War Department. More photos here:

    Yes, this looks like a Daimler. The row of petrol cans marked up is a bit unusual and nice to see.

    No! With "LOAD NOT TO EXCEED 3 TONS" on the lorries, it's clearly a Britsh dump. A Peerless up front then a couple of FWDs.

    Similar wheels can also be seen on Tilling-Stevens in French service but other than the tapering rear to the chassis not much else fits. I've not found a good match for Berliet either.

    Yes a Peerless a/car.

    It probably is an Austin - I don't belive they were based on the twin-shaft chassis; and the Peerless was chain drive, whereas the one in the photo is (single) shaft draive.

It's good to know the Morris has arrived here, presumably with the other items from the US. The auction said there wasn't title, so I hope the buyer didn't have too many difficulties getting the vehicles out of the country.

    This photo is almost certainly of a Commercar. The radiator, with the notches in the header tank, is definately from one and you can just see the famous Commercar curved name plate on the bulkhead. The lattice framework under the chassis is another clue that confirms things. However, there are some oddities - there are bonnet louvres, the rear axle doesn't look chain drive (or at least the chain covers are missing) and I've not seen Y spoked wheels on a Commercar before. Presumably some field mods have been carried out?

    If you've been googling "900 x 16" then you're making the classic mistake of how tyres were designated.
