  1. Testing booster rockets for Bloodhound missile?
  2. looks like the vehicle is a Commer Q4 and I know some of them were out at Woomera and Maralinga. Looking again I think it is a Q4 tipper chassis adapted to raise the frame the rocket or whatever is mounted on. They men look like they may not be service personnel, so this is a government test programme.
  3. Hi Mark, I did not want to give too much away, but as it was on national TV in Australia the secret was out. Look forward to seeing it out and about. regards, Richard
  4. I see in the first photo that the 432 must have a hot bearing in a road wheel as the guy is cooling it down :-D
  5. Hi Chris, The website is a US business, and covers most trucks, but oddly, not Mack, but does have Zenith kits and parts, so this link takes you straight to the Zenith section; http://www.carburetor-parts.com/Zenith-_c_38.html I have not dealt with this company, just found it whilst looking for parts for a job. regards, Richard
  6. Hi Green Goddess, I think you are on the wrong section with your post. However, for Bedford parts in your locality, talk to Norman Aish of Bygone Bedford Bits, in Poole Dorset. He will post parts to you pretty quick. 01202 745117 and email enquiries@bygonebedfordbits.co.uk regards, Richard
  7. These new type belts are made like that so they wrap around smaller pulleys and grip better.
  8. Hi Jim, Saracen and other Alvis vehicles are different, as are Mk4 Ferrets. I am sure someone will have changed a complete wheel station at some time so the should be some around somewhere.
  9. Thanks Clive. Sorry about the ice cream men, was running out of ideas after spotting the 19 set
  10. I had second thoughts....... and I wuz wrong !
  11. Clive it was the oval lashing loops on the bin, I knew them but was not associating with armour. Is it something that was being done at Aldermaston or maybe Farnborough?
  12. I thought you would know who I meant ....... where is he, sweeping the shed out ready for Matilda's arrival?
  13. Two ice cream salesmen sending Christmas greetings to the troops during WW2
  14. One of our brethren on this forum knows about this, so will say no more, but a few of you will quickly guess I am sure; https://www.facebook.com/WINNewsSunshineCoast/videos/1546364475396990/ cheers Richard
  15. Are they testing new No.19 sets at the factory or after repairs?
  16. Hi Andy, I recall an issue in the past with clicking on Preview and pictures were lost, I never go on Preview. This problem only arose in April, so perhaps something has changed in the Website during that time?
  17. Andy, I know my photo of the LARC is labelled as a thumbnail, but considering the size and the fact you can click on it a few times and get it full screen. I have a feeling that those posting duplicate photos are loading the photo and also clicking 'Insert Online" (as I did with the post of a K2 ambulance). Some feedback from others is needed to see if this is what they are doing. Still could be an issue with the way the website is set, maybe it has had an update recently. I am out of my comfort zone and knowledge with this now. Give me a hydraulic or engine problem any day! cheers Richard
  18. Hi Andy, just doing an experiment to see how this works
  19. Hi Chris, What make carby does it have? I came across a US website recently with new kits listed. Let me know and I will find the details.
  20. To reply to my own post, it seems I am not having a problem, so to all those who are reading this and have posted photos which have duplicated, it will be interesting to hear where your photos were loaded on to the forum from.
  21. As a Moderator, I was contact by Jeremy (Rampant Rivet) about this issue, but not having powers or knowledge of the inner workings of this website, I could do nothing and told him to raise the issue with those in charge of the site, ie Jack, Joris or Lee (Marmite). So far I have not heard anything. It seem not all posts with photos have duplication of images, so to fault find you would need to know details of how or where the photos are obtained from, ie, from computer's photo library, from mobile phone, or from one of the internet photo saving sites. This may give a pattern to the problem. Just as a test, I have attached a photo here from my computer's photo library so will see what happens. regards, Richard
  22. Hi Clive, I see you are on an extended Road Test, with your REME boards on!
