  2. EMERGENCY REVERSE. Engage weaponary, recoil sends backwards! Can't wait for the Portee version. :-D Effective against Pigions and foxes though, they see it and die laughing.
  3. If it is a sort of off white, it looks like the submariner Jersey. The rest of the canoe paddlers wore a dark blue one.
  4. Bet that wern't cheap ! Nice job.
  5. The 51 is, but that will mean the 54 is as well. Though when it comes to vehicles imported like Katy, surley at least an intial road saftey test will be needed?
  6. Thanks Nick. I'll try running the engine up and pulling it out when warm. I don't know what the Norwegians used for rust and waterproofing but you could tar the road with it!
  7. Just tok the dizzy cap off and rotoe arm. Underneath covering the points etc is a metal plate with like a large flower rivited on top. I've not seen this before , but it don't want to come out. Is it a push fit or screw and any advice please.
  8. The top vent, blocked barrel rule came out some years ago in the England and Wales. Scotland now does it own thing, Norterhn Ireland had had it's own restrications for many years. There are execptons for Athletic starting pistols and dummy launchers (For traing Gun Dogs). Film and stage work also has diffrent rules. The whole thing is a very complex mess, even Fire arms officers cannot keep up with all of it.
  9. Every time you read the regulations something seems to have changed. I'll try and find the form and go through it. The last time I brought a vehicle over from Jersey I got an mot certificate , sent that and a copy of insurance off to DVLA and got the new reg. This time I was faced with a bewlidering form demanding Type Approval, Drive by sound level (dba) and various others. Took the form to the local DVLA to get help. They just filled in the Type Approval/ Catergory 'Over ten years old', sign here and on my way rejoicing. It just seems to be total luck wether who you deal with human or a robot.
  10. Try the RLC museum to se eif they have the service record for the vehicle. That will also give age related info.
  11. There is an allowance of about 250,00 litres per year ffrom C&E, but you do need to treat the oil before use.
  12. If I want sympathy? I know go look in the ***** dictionary!
  13. :pfrt: They are legitamite Military Vehicles, so it matters!
  14. It appears you cannot tow a LADEN trailer, that is younger than the vehicle. I've got a WW2 trailer so it looks as if I can tow that ok.
  15. YOU LUCKY....... :angry I'll be stuck right in the middle of it!
  16. There still quite practical to use. Remarkably light weight as well.
