  1. No mate! The thing is we with older vehicles NOTICE a problem then go all out to fix it rather than just ignore it. An experienced person knows the answer. How do you gain experience? By asking others questions. Thinking of Degsey with the Weasel, how about checking thermostats?
  2. I really don't envy you! I'm glad I don't have any livestock to feed this winter.
  3. Helo nad Welcome! Where do you manage to find things in China?
  4. The ambulance gallery is intresting, Series 1 and the ambulance trailer.
  5. This is the untouched version. You can se how well you've set your's up. The red cross on the radiator grill seems in British Service to have been confined to Bosnia. My old one has served there and still had traces of the cross on the wire.
  6. It's a compliment!! Be honest, no one would want us dressed in kit like that! :-D
  7. I have thought you'd need a Flymo to cut anything after all the rain.
  8. Reminds me of my old 101. Nice job on the interior.
  9. And something to acompany the shoes? http://www.yandy.com/camouflage_lingerie.asp
  10. Could you not cheat and fit an electric fan?
  11. As far as ignition goes, give Frank Jolley a ring. http://www.classicheads.com/ Gassing is normally down to routing the fuel pipes.
  12. Asking the obvious, could it be the gauge? Is it electric or mechanical type? Does the system airlock? Partially collappsing hose?
  13. I must have the only helpful DVLA ofice in the country on my door step! They carefully explained to me, how to take the vehicle up to the MOT station and get an MOT on the chassis number, and to make sure I knew where the chassi number was and that is is was cleaned up so the inspector could see it. The grief came at the station Frank said it have to have a registration number, fortunatley it has the Jersey one. The intresting thing is, when the number was fed into the computer it came up 'This will start the issue of a VL5 document'. Do you wish to continue?
  14. 01:15 and still at it! Met office have an amber out for the area over Sunday.
  15. As far as proof of age goes. If you can get a build data card from manufacturer, or the military release papers with a service record, DVLA will acept those.
  16. Might the timimg have been knocked with all the work?
  17. Problem is the damge can occur to a tyre whilst there isn't any air in it! The damage shows itself when you later inocently reinflate. As far as I'm concerned now any tyre subject to heat or being dragged is dumped straight away!
  18. http://newsfeed.time.com/2012/07/04/u-s-government-confirms-there-are-no-mermaids/
  19. Nasty stuff compressed air. Have you seen the vidios of welding and heating rims with tyres on as well? Including the after effects of dragging a vehicle with a flat tyre, then re inflating? That really did scare the *** out of me! Something I'll never do again.
  20. Or buy a Sonim phone. They do stand up to most stuff thrown at them, or just thrown.
  21. Lovley looking truck. Edna would be proud. I always associate them with childhood in the early 1960's. Lined up on the Esplanade with round wooden drums of Jersey Royal potatoes waiting to be shipped. If I knew then!
