  1. Easy way to cover the rear is to use a trailer board when on the road. That's what I do with the weapons carrier. Yes, maybe not be completly legal, but cyclist use flashing red lights, and I'd rather be tried by tweleve than carried by six.
  2. Try a Jeep exhaust pipe. There has to be some use for them.
  3. That is a great scene. Everyone bareheaded in the pelting rain covered in mud, exept for the Colonel under his brolly. No one could say the actors didn't enter into the spirt of the film.
  4. I know the site resonably well. This film has made me understand more of what it may have been like, and I wouldn't have wanted to be there!
  5. Just bought this £4.99 on amazon on the recommedation of a friend. This is the story of the Australian No 1 Tunneling Company's actions in 1917. The story is based on the life of Captain Oliver Woodward, a mining enginner and explosive expert. Like most Australian films on the Great War, it isn't recommended for family viewing, but is acurate and well made. The story is underplayed, no histrionics or blood and glory set pices but the action sequences are far superior to Hollywood output. Unusally the story also gives quite a lot of weight to the German point of view. Well worth a fiver.
  6. Welcome in. Your knowledge will be tapped unmercifully. Somthing coming up that does concern Canada! This New Year's Eve will be the 70th Anniversary of the arrival of the Red Cross chartered ship SS Vega at Jersey in the Channel Islands. Included in her cargo were 108,592 Canadian Red Cross parcels.
  7. They'd have to seal all pockets and tie hands together before entry (And I'd still try to get something out):cool2:
  8. Thanks Rosie, best wishes to all and the Soldier's prayer Piece on Earth.
  9. Isn't it based at Coney Hall? I know there is a large Met Pol sports place (Do well for themselves, I must say!)
  10. The Club house bar list? :cool2: Rosie can put in the wine order.

    Happy 2010!

I see the 'Grit' theme has continued though, :-D A few years on still rolling around under the 'Greens'.
  12. Don't forget NORAD track Santa's progress over Christmas Eve. (Just got to refine the tracking system on the missile. Infra red on Rudolph's nose :cool2:)
  13. I used to work at Sony in Slough, opposite the MAR'S factory. We had a close relationship re swapping merchandise. Every Wednesday there was a particular smell of hot sugar. I was told by one of the Mars staff that Wednesday was MOD day. The mix had more sugar that the standard bar.
  14. Welcome in. The Ferreters will be along shortly.
  15. Welcome in Roy. Be aware once bitten the Green Diesie is incurable. What till your son gets old enough to drive, family arguments in the future. :-D
  16. Welcome. Do you mean a place where you live, or a workshop/storage that you sleep in? :-D
  17. Freezer spray can help, especially on disimilar metals. My favourite penetrating mix is old gear oil and disiel. A decent set of stud extractors is well worth the investment. I have a Halford's Advance set, they make life so much easier.
