It has now been taken off u-tube before I could see it

Hi John not Franks old one that was altered coach built cab ex Delvenne heavy haulage from Belgium Franks went to A.F Budge now with Howard Francis in South Wales
But Didn't Frank have an armoured one as well ? I am sure he sold it to a guy in America (before the embargo on USA built armour returning to the states) He once showed me a photo of it at Liverpool docks as it was being loaded. Peter Grey was involved in getting it through customs from France into the UK.

I wondered about that... It woulde be one way, but the socket is on the side of the engine, You can't reach it from the seat, so you would have to plug in before you climb up, and live with a long cable....
Re my last post....Leavesley, don't have any Eager Beaver's, They have them for sale on their website, but when you talk to them they say they no longer deal in them....
No their website seems a bit out of date, they are still showing my M746 Ward La France which I bought off them about 8 years ago !!!

I assumed Land Rovers, 109" wheelbase and 110" wheelbase...?
Not M107/M110!
Stone
Don't really think Landrovers would make good range targets !!!
-
-
Not quite the scrap yard but range targets i guess now you know where the 109/110s went
Can you explain what is in the picture, cannot really see what they are. I am interested in 107s /110s as I am running an M578. Are they all still there or are these really old pictures. Presme you meant 107 not 109 ?

Or is it possible he had got hold of an airmans electrically heated flying suit, and was using it off his own back, and had worked out how to lash it into the wiring because he was sick of being cold. There has always been a history of service personnel sourcing their own kit to make up shortfalls and deficiencies in standard issue equipment?
The American wartime flying suit was powered at 24-26 Volts and the Eager Beaver is a 24 Volt system....
Does it have an inter vehicle start socket ? perhaps he was plugged in there, hope he never got a short circuit in the suit !

Surely that exhaust isn't in the normal place. I swear all the ones I know have the exhaust coming up between the back of the cab and the ballast body. I don't like the look of it coming ouit under the step!
Have a look again Mike, there is a pair of exhausts up the back of the cab but nothing seems to be coming out from there. Maybe there is some different legislation in Switzerland governing where the exhaust exits which the owner has had to comply with ?

The blue sheets 12' x16' from Costco are excelent when combined with scaffolding, my Crusader has been under one of these for 2 years, just changed the sheet this Christmas as it was getting a little faded. They are about £15 for a bag containing 2.

Thanks Tony,
I must apologise, now i've put my glasses on I can read the writing on the drawing ! I did initially dismiss the drawing as the wrong one thinking the poles for the blackout curtains was another set of main poles.
I have none of the vehicle attaching poles, nor do I have the one vertical pole against the vehicle side. I do have 4 of the wire rope tensioner cables, but as you say they are not absolutely necessary.
I will get all the spiders and poles out next weekend and do some measuring.
Here are some pictures of the numbers on the canvas parts.
John.

Just a tip, put some pictures on taken from a distance so that we can see exactly where you are repairing for those of us less familiar with the RL CAB.
-
I know!! definitley got your name on. :-D What it does need is a set of the spiders or at least a pattern to copy off. The angles are diffrent from a nine by nine. a decent drawing would help. (Hint BIG HINT)
Is the hint to me ? If so I have put all the ones I have away in one of my storage boxes, will not be able to get at them until next weekend, let me know what you want to know.
If you have all the poles please let me know what the pole lengths are as the post did start with me asking for the pole lengths !

Could the offender be picking up e-mail addresses from ads placed elswhere hoping to get you to use his site ?

found this with a bit of google:
"L43A1 7.62mm Machine Gun, variant of L7, used on the Scorpion as a ranging gun."
Thanks for that Sabre.

I have purchased a quantity of side tent/shelters for the small comms bodies but they do not have all the aluminium poles with them. There seems to be 3 different length poles required of which I have the shorter 2. Does anybody know what the length of the pole should be which forms the near horizontal top of the shelter ?

Clearly the booms could not have been that strong as they all seem to bend.

15 Stone!!! Jesus I need to eat more then.... Think my meagre 10 3/4's may be struggling a little..... Better get down the cash and carry for some shredded wheat before next week me thinks.....
Can we asume from that comment that you have increased your Scammell fleet Nigel ?
Any luck with finding a Crusader trailer yet ?

Quite a number of the Diamond T tractors were converted to Detroit Diesel 6-71 power by the Italian Army during the 50's they were all sold off about 15-20 years ago so this may be one of those. One of my friends in this area has a full military spec one, it sounds superb as all DD engined trucks do !

The pictures were taken at the airfield belonging to Nelson Greens plant sales in Lincolnshire. You must always call and see them at their yard to get permission before going in. I have been their many times when passing over the last 20 years.
