  1. well out of hospital tonight but still have to take it easy for a while:( but i will be down on the thursday due to taking a very gentle drive down 1/2 hour shifts at a time so take about 6 hrs cookhouse will be open maybe just a adjustment on the menu as dont know how long can stand for the moment but i have 10 days to get ready for it:-D

  3. thanks for the get well wishes hopefully out on tuesday and then down to the plains for some r and r at the end of the month and the tunnel out of the hospital failed as on the second floor
  4. tony i will be there with the cookhouse one way or another it might just be i need a bit more help in the cookhouse than before the rumours of my death arnt true but i just have to take it easier for a while i am due a aniogram on monday so will be out before the weekend and the plains trip will be my relax weekend sorry if i hadnt contacted the forum before but had problems loging on if you need to contact me use the facebook account as i can get on there
  5. fuel tank done just got to get health back up now after scare yesterday so it might be sausage and mash yet:blush:but hopefully when meds kick in will bounce back just got to take it easy for a while

  7. unless im mistaken the cab has a single drivers and a double crew seat as thats whats in my mk and if you get a radio body mj then fitting it out as a camper would be easy as a lot of travellers use this type as a mobile home or put a caravan inside the rear body of a dropside

  11. well ive got to meet a coach at gatwick and get back by train so within bus/taxi/lift distance
  12. yes one of the many jobs to do before next week list is at the moment have fuel tank and straps repaired(being done at mo) fix generator get extra lights charge batterys for generator and 24 volt lighting check brakes(cant do till fuel tank back)as need to start engine get truck to plains get myself to plains check cookhouse over get more petrol for dustbin burner and genny so not to many jobs to do between work
  13. well i can rig up a couple of lights out of the truck but chris if you bring your genny as mine has a fuel fault at the moment
  14. ok does anyone have storage available near gatwick for a bedford mk and cookhouse trailer for the dates 0f 16th-26 august as need to do some work which involves me going from gatwick then on return going straight down to salisbury plains for the plains invasion weekend otherwise it means an extra long drive after the job is over

  18. yes truck ones for side,and taillights but original headlight bulbs not halogen but a funny fitting best bet is converting to halogen lights with adaptor and you can see where you are going
  19. unless my memory is going didnt the local islanders all supply their landrovers and tractors to get items moved around the falklands as there wasnt a lot of kit down there

  21. very close with the spelling but its a conical sieve and used for taking pips and lumps out of jams or syrups can also be used for draining spaggetti but takes ages to dry it as keeps a lot of water in the middle
