  1. Photos, lots of them from a midweek visit to Beltring - enjoy.
  2. I saw him today with Bodge and brother, hawking dodgy bits of canvas. Still sporting full mop of hair, I did wonder about that, maybe someone should give him a poke and tell him to get into a barbers. Saw Niel stalling his BMP(?) and Lee and co putting the engine in the FV but they looked fairly busy so didnt want to disturb them.
  3. Coming down late tomorrow for a 2 night stay, where will I find Basecamp?
  4. Were they Brit chaplains jeeps or American?
  5. If I can find you and the Scammel, I will say hello. PLease arrange some sunny weather!
  6. Hopefully be there on the Saturday afternoon. (As long as Mrs W can get a hair appointment in the morning apparently!)
  7. Looks like a cooling system drain tap. Is that one of Catweazles shoes??
  8. Jeep Parts are out of stock, LB carb exchange out of business. Sign o' the times.
  9. Does anyone know what model solex I would require to replace the carter carb on the MB engine for a new Solex?
  10. All the best with it, just make sure you furnish us with lots of photos, its always good to see what other people are doing.
  11. Good to have you on board. We need to get down to Bovvy again since it reopened.
  12. This issue of Current Archaeology sports a big fat photo of a Patton tank range wreck as its cover. An in depth look at Otterburn ranges, WW2 remains, WW1 trench sites as well as the older stuff. Well worth a look. Available at WHS, Borders etc. www.currentarchaeology.co.uk
  13. Am I right in thinking the Bedford GS body is wider than the Morris GS body?
  14. There is a Rover 10 NAAFI wagon on evilbay at the moment. Ive never heard of them, has anyone got any info or pics? Its under classic cars not military by the way.
  15. I feel like we are finally making progress Jules. its been a big leap forward.
  16. Due to being quiet at work (not good!) we trial fitted the body and set to work on reconstructing a back tub for it. And yes, I do know its a Bedford GS tub, but they are basically the same dimensions, from what I know, just different ironwork, but it will do for now.
  17. The Govt has just refused the grant it needs , probably spending the money on the olympics I suspect.
  18. Bletchley Park Family 40's Day, this afternoon. They were totally overwhelmed by the expected number of visitors and it was a great day out. Very relaxed and good for the sprogs. BBMF fly past , lots of re-enactors, a few vehicles, not as maby as expected. The place is well worth a visit, its very big and has nice grounds for a picnic. Anyway, a few photos of the day, hopefully it will be repeated next year.
  19. Past Parts. They relined the C8 master. Not cheap, about £200ish, but very good.
