Popped over to Ross today and found a few bits n bobs Not sure what this used to be attached to but will hide it on the MW somewhere Then I found this ---- Its painted black Made of aluminium/steel Its a periscope with a sprung loaded flap, but what's it off ? I thought maybe an aircraft so brought it home coz its interesting :nut:
  3. Well the rad was painted when I had it cleaned and repaired but when I got it back I retouched the paint up to standard Got the inner shroud back from blasting and fitted it.

  9. Happy days :rotfl::banana:these little beauties arrived in todays post after making the patterns and sorting the casting its nice to see the end result has turned out so well mainly thanks to hard work on the fettling and machining can't wait to fit them to the truck soon :-D It'll be a shame to paint them Also had good news on the radiator as its sorted and is waiting to be picked up :-D

  12. Back from Malvern sale today with a new dizzy cap and rotor for the 28hp it turns out I have an early dizzy fitted Type DU6A which is different to the standard one. Moved on the last of the Chevy spares thanks James and picked up a pair of wings and a better rocker cover thanks to Paul :-D plus new lucas horn, grease nipples and my old mate Wayne called by to drop off the elusive Bedford spanner and some Champ gearbox circlips all in all a good day, not much in the way of bargains on the stalls but caught up with a lot of friends and enjoyed the sale.
  13. Its been a one step forward two back today :undecided: I had noticed that the bushes and pins for the springs were worn beyond which is good so started today replacing them all :wow: should have done it when I was sorting the springs but there you go you live and learn More progress was made on the chassis by fitting the radiator brckts and have started to fettle the radiator. It looks pretty good but will take it to Hereford radiators to get it checked over.
  14. Nuther few hours spent on the bulkhead its nearly there :nut: offering up the new bulkhead panel. measure twice cut and fold once hopefully . nearly there bit more fettling though I noticed that this bulkhead looks like it was put together in a hurry

  17. Welcome to the HMVF fellow champ owner, I'll have a look at some spare starters I have to see if they are good for spares for you post a pic of what you are looking for as there are two types of starter Cheers RR.
  18. Hi mike the cross member was not too difficult to remove as one end was fairly corroded First I ground the tops off the rivets then drilled the centres and punched them out after repair and shotblasting /painting replacement was fairly easy though I did remove the steering box and jack the engine up to make things easier. Yes the starter is 180 degs out  you win first prize for observation bit like the tire pump I'm just testing people to make sure they are paying attention RR.
  19. Yes they were a special camouflage limited edition
