  1. Hi Rob, Thats a big yes from me and I would image my dad plus steve and sam would be up for it to.
  2. Hi Mark, Just answed this question on another topic. What about some old style CB radios with a headset from a clansman converted to use with them and maybe you might be able to use a clansman aerial with it to keep in with the military theme. I believe there is still a legal frequency and all you had to do many years ago was purchase your licence from the post office but that was some 25 years ago . They are still around on ebay and don't cost the earth and you get a good range with them.

  4. We sold it to a local guy in Essex but never sore it at any local shows so guessing he sold it on unless he is a member of the 514th. It was a nice truck and i think my dad wishes he had kept it but at the time it was to much like hard work driving it especially as he was waiting for a heat bye-pass. Never know maybe we will get another one, one day and go over to the dark side.

    Bovington??

Would like to get to the Bovington tankfest but it clashes with a more local show which we support as a group - Royal Gunpowder Mills, Waltham Abbey. Maybe one day if they move the date.
  6. Nice pics GPW42, I recognise my dads old GMC 352 the one with ANNA on the side, nice to see its still about at the shows. Where abouts is the victory show ?

  11. TR we could always forget the tunnels and ask mark to take us to france on the ferry for a p___s up and clive if you want to frighten Mr Ferret we could always take his passport when over there.
  12. Merry Christmas everyone. Still no sign off santa.
  13. Hope Mr HardyFerret wasn't standing at the urinal and bragging about the size of this gun.
  14. 2006 has been a very hard year for me and my family but one of the best things to happen was the birth of my 3rd child in February. Little Ryan has kept me going during this year and is something very special to me. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i272/ian2b/100_3929.jpg[/img]

  19. With mileage that low the engine must be like new. My RL is now showing around 38000 but is still going strong so will do me for many years to come.
  20. Hi John, Just recieved this info re your bedford. There was a batch JJD 224D to JJD 245D i think the vin number will actually be RLHC349937 the chassis type is RLHC3 chassis number is 49937. It does not appear to have been issed during its life and it was sold from the Home Office's Branston Rd depot Burton on trent in nov 1988 with 1616 miles recorded. and recieved this to from someone else. The "T" in the chassis number does not seem right, but if the code is RLHC3 49937 the vehicle would have been built in 1962. Codes 8T,9T,0T,1T and 2T were used from July 1967 until June 1972, but between 1967 and 1969 the RL became model RJO with 330 diesel and RFO with 300 petrol. 8 means July1967-June 1968 T means Dunstable. This one has the pre July 1967 RLHC3 code for a vehicle with 300 petrol engine. Hope this helps.
