  7. Many more Essex boys on here and they will call it the Post War Capital of the MV scene :-o Good to have you aboard Mark, hope to see you at the Bunker Show in May.
  8. Day before yesterday finally managed to get to Bannisters to pick up the dual power valve, so Saladin brakes are the next job on the list. Also dropped by a chap near Beltring to pick up an engine deck WITH doors for the Ferret, I have a feeling I will be calling again as he appears to have most of what I might require. Found out a little more about the mods on the Ferret as it would appear to have been modded for mine blasts at some stage with extra ribbing to vertical welded seams, an extension of the hull plate over the petrol tank and bracings to the top of the engine bay. So all in all a pretty good day. Will be travelling "up country" today to pick up a NEW petrol tank for the Ferret as well as an Air cleaner. So the gathering of bits has started  Major concentration is going to be on the Saladin at the moment as it has to be ready for our show in May as well as the Horseguards event in June, so work will be cut out for the next few weeks. Just have to hope the weather is kind
  9. At a glance it would appear to be an Ambulance version coverted to expedition / camper standard. Ive seen a similar one in the 101 club magazine but not sure how long ago. I would not think it was an "in service" vehicle at least not in the UK but it could have been a Dutch version as they had a different Ambulance body than ours. Sorry cant help more than that
  10. Offer is there Clive if your Dad is interested no worries in taking him around the Arena Ye who tempt providence will succumb to murphy's law .......remember a little mishap with stopping on the bridge you unbeliever?
  11. Hi Mick Unfortunately 9 out of 10 ferrets do leak at some point / position. It is mainly due to the seals drying up due to lack of movement and becomes noticable when the new owner tends to move the vehicle more than the previous one. On a positive note, it does give an indication that you have oil in the bevel box, so as long as it does not get excessive it really isnt too much to worry about. The other thing to remember, it's British and like Royal Enfield M/C's (Royal Oilfield) they tend to leave a little puddle wherever they park up ;-)
  12. It aint little green men or orbs of light ya aughta be worried about ..............its the maniacs who post these things and seriously believe they exist And I thought owning a MV was cause for being sectioned
  13. I'll have to bring a large cardboard box and a tube from a roll of aluminium foil then I can be an M8 Armoured car
  14. Tony Sorry I missed its outing today but it really looks great mate. You've done a great job there and its good to see it matching the GTB in colour. I look forward to seeing it in the flesh again now its finished as it looked good when I saw it last at your place. Once again mate well done...........Just got to get on with that International now ;-)
  15. Re the wipers Neil, check the motor connections themseelves as the rain tends to get in there and corrode them away. Had the same problem on my s3 and had to replace the fitting.
