well just got some mirrors for the ferret 4 quid each seems like r/h mirror arms are a bit rare ? christ theres a cold wind out there!

right thought i would join in ! used to work for a civvy company in the falklands early 90,s we had land rovers fitted with nato towing hitches at front and rear for pulling ground pwr units water meth rig etc and will never forget one day when a work mate hooked up a pwr unit pushed down the top of towing hook expecting it to lock but due to crud it did,nt , he went belting off towards the helicopter next thing he saw was ground pwr unit overtaking him heading to s61n !luck would have it it went up a bank instead but he had eyes like a racehorse on steriods for quite a while after that!:cool2:

well finally got here here drove it off back of lorry and into ferret port all fine now washing the wheels as went off road yesterday!:cool2:

just been driving my ferret for the first time .most pleasant !will have to train leg that it is a gear change pedal NOT CLUTCH!!! i know what manual says for mpg 9 mpg , is this about right 5 quid for 9 miles travelled ! the toys list for it is starting.:cool2:

have you tried asking tank museum archives? for history .

just been driving mine think i will get use to pre selector and gear change pedal before letting jacqui drive it !

sirhc, i think you misunderstood me i meant my ferret has d.i.s of jan64 and bovys records for my ferret start at 1970, where can i find history on my ferret for years 64to1970. thanks.

hope i can get some help on this , have bought a ferret mk1/2 date in service jan 1964 and tank museum,s records start at 1970 how do i get early info cheers,
