While reading the post about Buried Jeeps, I was reading about unexploded bombs still in situ, this brought to mind the new Southgare development in Bath, where a large unexploded bomb was allegedly still in situ next to the site. When I tried a Google search to find the size of the bomb I found the attached document produced for a now defunct development company. In Annex F 'Photographs of bomb damage in Bath' the first photo 25th april 1942 shows Albion Place on the Upper Bristol road. All that remains now is numbers 8 & 9, on the extreme right of the photo, the rest was demolished and is now a Vauxhall dealership. I lived in the top flat of 9 Albion place (you can just see the window) for 15 years, shrapnel damage is still visible. I am having difficulty uploading the document as it is 4 megabytes I will post it as soon as I can reduce it. Or you coulg Google 'unexploded bombs in Bath' and look at @ANNEX D HISTORICAL MAPS, quite interseting reading.
