  1. This thread seems to have become a pishing contest for who's raised the most money for H4H, I for one think this subject has run it's course.
  2. I've also used the new Snatch with auto gearbox, different to say the least.
  3. One for the CVR(T) enthusiasts, Scimitar fitted with a snow plow in Norway. Not seen many like this around.
  4. No mate, there were a number of Snatch's and other vehicles painted orange and sent out to Kosovo as part of the Kosovo Monitoring Force just prior to the Kosovo conflict. Interestingly they were repainted in Northern Ireland and raised a few eyebrows for obvious reasons when transporting them to the docks. Supporting the Snatch was a Bedford Light Recovery vehicle.
  5. Yes, but not the Humvee 2nd one back. Although they have different variants now ie, Snatch 2, 2A, 2B, 3 Vixen.
  6. Bet theres not many seen one like this. :cool2:
  7. Your a barrel of laughs aren't you, it's a fair attempt and probably has a few civi's fooled,LOOK at his pics on the link, he obviously gets donations for Help for Hero's using this vehicle so it was worth doing as far as he's concerned. Lighten up blokes, Jesuuuuuus.
  8. Heard, bl@@dy German Artillery on the ranges, woke me up I'm supposed to be on leave.
  9. Were was it? I'd imagine it was on it's way to some Eng Regt as a gate guard.
  10. Only the sort of teething problems you'd get on any new vehicle into service and nothing to keep it out of service for long. I have to say though that's it's very impressive.
  11. Yes it's bl@@dy long isn't it, you should try turning it in tight spaces with a wagon on the back lol.
  12. Yes they were standard on Bedy Light wreckers, they came with white Hella covers.
  13. To be fair, that's actually not a bad attempt and a fairly good REPLICA. He really does need to change the wheels though as they aren't correct, nor is the standard doors on the jerry can holders on the side, Snatch 2/3 which this REPLICA is depicting has a grill/mesh door on one side to allow cooling for the aircon unit. Also the dead give away is the interior which is obviously a standard Landrover 110.
  14. Done this many times successfully, but when it doesn't work just try something else and "hopefully" that will work.
  15. Super pics, been to Enchede many times shopping with the family, it's only half an hour from Osnabruck. Lovely place.
  16. Put in position on the roundabout by my civi recy mech Panni.
  17. This Saladin is on the roundabout just through the main gate at Episkopi camp.
  18. Lift the stiff legs and winch in, hopefully the weight of the original casualty will be sufficient to allow the wrecker to winch itself backwards.
  19. Cosrec, Maybe not what they were originally designed for but we used the hooks to hold a gunplank in place crossways to increase anchorage in bad ground. Foden has similar design legs.
  20. Just a couple of my pics of Snatch 3 Vixon I took. Snatch 3 differs massively to the original Snatch1/2. I'd love to have a look at the fake one for a giggle. Why doesn't the owner just advertise it as a replica?
  21. The Accurate Armour ones are much better but have a price tag to match.
  22. No, this will explain everything, http://www.army-technology.com/projects/oshkosh/
  23. No chance 1 big con, better to buy a Tamiya model, it will work out much cheaper.
  24. A thought that went through my head everytime, thankfully I never had to find out. Not sure if this was policy or local commanders decision at the time.:nut:
