  1. Some examples in here: http://www.hmvf.co.uk/pdf/BRITISHARMYFUELSUPPLY.pdf
  2. Sorry 04 TF 83 & 04 TF 86 both Dennis Medium Trailer Fire Pump 350/500 gpm Asset Code 6920-8295 Unfortunately that's not on the RLC database either
  3. 04 TF 63 I have as Coventry Climax Godiva Light Trailer Fire Pump Asset Code 6921-1272 Unfortunately that registration does not show as having a record card held with RLC Museum.
  4. David looking in some SEME lecture notes on electronic ignition on CVRs it says unfortunately "The manufacturers have not disclosed the circuit details" although it is assumed limiting is by a thyristor with the gate switched by a time delay circuit. I did x-ray one once but never managed to figure out the circuit. I'll try & get this page scanned if I can get the scanner to go but its making grating noises at the moment.
  5. Billy there was a thread about it on here with some drawings: http://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,1936.msg242432.html#msg242432
  6. This covers 90A 24v Charging - Fault Finding Part 4 v4.2.1 is a major 3-year revision of an article that has been evolving for 12 years. For those who have read Part 4 v4.1 before the significant changes are on pages 5 ,6, 9, 10, 13, 20-25, 30-34, 51-68 https://www.dropbox.com/s/y7yr2jjujgxuldo/ALL%20CHARGED%20UP%204%20ver4-2.1.pdf?dl=0
  7. I've been able to log in for a week or so with no problem. I can see my profile & see the list of 2016 events. But click on "Attend" it takes me to the Risk Assessment for that event. Unable to change any of the fields, at the bottom of the page click on "Attend" & it just refreshes that page. When I come out & look at the Events calendar it doesn't register as me attending. In my profile it has a list of events I attended last year, but I can't clear them. I asked Emma some days ago, but not heard back. Has anyone managed to register their events for this year & get a RA?
  8. Although many of those have been posted on here before I found the fade facility quite dramatic especially doing from present to the past. Thanks for those, quite sobering really.
  9. My back was turned, now looks like I have to fight over who is going to read it! Excellent book by Geoff Fletcher & James Taylor. Full of information from years of research, most pictures are previously unpublished & mainly of in-service vehicles rather than what you can see walking around a show ground.
  10. I think you misunderstand me. The two circuit breakers in question are not in the Generator Panel, they are in the Distribution Box No.1 Mk 1 - the thing that has the inter-vehicle start socket.
  11. There was an old thread about a fault on the 10A circuit breaker. The irony is that when the circuit is "broken" you can still get 24v at the instrument panel end but it will not be able to supply any useful current because of the residual resistance in the circuit breaker itself that is still apparent when the contacts are open. http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?25258-1960-Ferret-MK2-4-Electrical-Problem
  12. The 10A circuit breaker supplies the instruments & starter solenoid. It is not unknown for these circuit breakers to be all rusted up inside the Distribution Box No.1 Mk 1.
  13. Iain I don't have the specs on D10, this 1955 book just goes up to D8 single. That is 74 lb per mile compared with the Assault No.2, which is 20 lb per mile. So certainly a lighter burden for rapid advance.
  14. Perhaps I should add that LEP =Life Extension Programme (TITHONUS)
  15. NSN: 2320999087422 ERM: 66KJ46 Serial No: 66KJ46 Description: TRUCK UTY MED FFR HARD TOP 12V 4X4 2.5 LTR DSL LAND ROVER 110 DEFENDER RHD LEP Contract Number: LV2A/004 Date Into Service: 21/01/1991
  16. Interesting Roland what might appear to be an NSN on the alternator label is missing the last four-digit group.
  17. A couple of new arrivals. This one has very little to do with politics or race, it is a very angry young man's take on the influence of religion of it various kinds & its effect on human misery. Much of the book is based on quotations, that towards the end of the book get confusing to keep wondering if it is the same person being quoted or someone else. Not written by an armchair academic some years after events, this was published as history was being made in 1969. I was the only bidder so not a bad insight for 1p The other book was only a little more expensive. I already have Volumes I & II but this rarer as it was written for "Superior Commanders" & there weren't so many of them. I was the only bidder got this for a good price as this was merely for 1935, if it was for 1915 or 1945 it would have cost considerably more. There seems to be a vast appetite for wartime history yet what happens (or not) between wars lays the foundations for understanding how the next one was conducted.
  18. These are extremely rare. When I had one of these trailers I could not get a direct replacement. The problem is that UV destroys the plastic & they crumble or crack. In the end I had to bodge a solution, which was not especially cheap. These are not cheap, but they are the proper thing & where brakes are concerned then only the best! Judging by the DMC these are for the newer range of lightweight trailer, however the NSN & manufacturer's part no. are the same as that used in the 3/4 Tonne Trailer FV2381 Mk 3 (ie "Wolf trailer") & no the are not Sankey trailers! :banghead: Looks as if he has 50 of them. http://www.thexmod.com/item_detail.asp?id=26633
  19. That looks fun Phil, I'll know where to come!
  20. I've persevered & can't find anything would correspond. I have also gone through COSA Section W5 that has a lot of vehicular workshop, frames, tables, fittings etc but nothing there. The trouble is even finding it might only result in a NSN with no mention of a thread!
  21. I have parts catalogue in front of me FAESP 2510-C-030-711 but its a bit difficult to see as my viewer is packed away & I'm holding up hand viewer to the light. Can you indicate about how many of these fixings there are? Knowing that will make it easier than just squinting trying to read one line at a time.
  22. Always trying to tie up pictures with registrations, history & whether I have earlier pictures of them, have you got the registration of "humber early armoured" please? On the OS wing does it say SN 2329? If so that would make it 23 BK 29 Mk 1 struck off in 1967. The info board for 27 BK 17 yes is for a Mk 2 & that was struck off in 1992.
