To go off the thread a little , i put my bags of clothes out for recycling this morning which the bin men pick up, about ten min later i hear a van, on looking out the window i see a young man ,pull up , jump out his van and steal the bags ! Phoned the council and was told its happened a lot recently,they have had lots of calls .What is this world coming to? The stuff will probably be on a car boot stall this weekend...........

THIS SUNDAY. There will be an air show on the prom to mark the centenary of the first air show held here.According to the local paper amongst the aircraft will be:- American KC-135 Stratotanker,RAF Sea King,RAF King Air(new advanced multi engine pilot trainer),Lancaster,Hurricane,Spitfire, Red Arrows and the Huey. It starts at 3pm. ALSO THIS SUNDAY. Lytham st annes Classic car and Bike show. This is the second year for this event ,last years was a good turn out and the weather was very kind.Worth a look if your in the area for the air show . Gearbox plate,

The pintle hook , now looking good after a strip down, repaint and grease.The date plate on it (covered up at mo ) is the same year as the Munga (many thanks again Andrew !!!:tup:: )

About 18 months ago , i managed to find one of the original owners for our Munga,he had promised me what bits he had. At weekend its original engine and gearbox showed up!(Thank you Dave),he told me the engine in our Munga is a Wartburg one , he told me we need a wartburg starter as a munga one is different . Ive not seen the engine yet its at my parents, will put pics on when i get down there ......:coffee:
