andym Posted April 20, 2012 Share Posted April 20, 2012 (edited) Some time ago I put in a Freedom of Information request to MOD to declassify and release the current set of manuals for the FV430 series. It's taken a while (and I appreciate they've got better things to do) but they've finally come good and released a set of redacted manuals as PDFs. I've uploaded them to the Oron public server - I tried some of the free servers but they weren't very clever. Here's the contents of the README file which says what's there: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ INTRODUCTION: These documents result from a Freedom of Information Request to the UK MOD to release all the technical manuals relating to the FV430 series of vehicles. They have been declassified and redacted as appropriate but remain Crown Copyright. With MOD permission I have made them available free to other FV430 owners. Magyarhans Posted December 25, 2019 Share Posted December 25, 2019 Hi Andy, First of all happy Xmas. I managed to by a FV434 from a Belgian guy. The vehicle arrived to me in Hungary. Yesterday I went to the gasstation to fill up the tank. No problems during the 6 km ride. Only the temperature gauge gave a temperature of 240 F. The water however was warm but not really hot. When coming back home we did some work with the crane and everything went well. Then we turned it off to get a cup of tea. Later I would like to move it back to its parking lot. It started and turned of directly. The fuse in control box 6 marked K had come out. I put it back and when turning on the engine switch beside the starter switch Fuse K popped out. Today we had a good look if there were any earth faults but we found nothing. Then I looked at the electrical drawing and saw that fuse L also uses fuse K. I pulled out L and than the enigine started, however did not keep running because I pulled the fuel pump fuse. Also the fuel meter is not working, The tank however is full. Can you help me to solve this problem? Maybe there is a repair manual I can download to solve this. I think it must be something little,and luckily there are no computers in the tank.
